ACCESS

Acceptance and eligibility

You may use hackergrep only if you can legally enter into these terms. If you use the service for a company or another organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

02

SCOPE

What the service provides

hackergrep provides search, indexing, historical salary observations, feeds, APIs, and saved notifications using public job information. Features, source coverage, eligibility rules, limits, and availability may change over time. We may add, remove, pause, or modify any part of the service.

Some features may be free and others may require payment. Any price, billing interval, and material purchase terms will be shown before you pay. Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. Except where required by law or stated at purchase, fees are nonrefundable.

03

IDENTITY / DELIVERY

Subscriptions, accounts, and notifications

You are responsible for information submitted through an alert subscription or account and for protecting confirmation links, access links, API credentials, destination settings, and unsubscribe tokens. Tell us promptly if you believe your access has been compromised.

When you enable an available notification, you authorize hackergrep to send messages to the email address or other supported destination you configure. Delivery can be delayed, duplicated, filtered, or unavailable due to source changes, network failures, provider policies, or your own settings. You can pause or unsubscribe using the controls provided with the service. These terms may also apply to account and webhook features if they are offered in the future, but their mention here does not mean they are currently available.

04

RATE LIMITS / SAFETY

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you must not:

  • break the law, violate another person's rights, or facilitate fraud or harassment;
  • probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security and rate limits;
  • use automated access in a way that degrades the service or ignores published API guidance;
  • submit malicious code, deceptive destinations, or unauthorized personal information;
  • resell or republish a substantial part of the index as a competing database without permission;
  • misrepresent an affiliation with hackergrep, an employer, or a source platform.

Developers and agents should use the documented Agent API instead of scraping HTML. We may limit or block activity that threatens reliability, security, users, or source providers.

05

JOBS / SALARY / LINKS

Public data and third-party services

Job listings, company names, salary ranges, descriptions, and application links originate from third parties. A listing may be incomplete, outdated, duplicated, misleading, closed, or fraudulent. An indexed result is not an endorsement and does not guarantee that a job exists, that an employer will respond, or that any compensation will be offered.

Historical salary data reflects ranges publicly observed at a point in time. It may exclude equity, bonuses, benefits, location adjustments, or later changes. Currency labels and raw source text should be reviewed before relying on a numeric search value. hackergrep does not currently perform live foreign-exchange conversion. Salary history is informational and is not financial, tax, legal, or career advice.

Third-party sites have their own terms and privacy practices. You are responsible for reading them and for deciding whether to visit a link, share information, or apply. Never send money, credentials, or sensitive documents to an unverified recruiter or destination.

06

DATA USE

Privacy and service data

We may process subscription or account identifiers, email addresses, search criteria, notification settings, feedback, IP-derived region information, request logs, and product analytics to provide, secure, debug, and improve hackergrep. Analytics or session replay tools may record how the interface is used. Do not submit sensitive personal information that the service does not ask for.

We do not sell your email address. We may share data with infrastructure, analytics, email, billing, security, and other service providers that help operate hackergrep, or when required by law. Account and operational records may be retained as needed for service delivery, security, compliance, dispute resolution, and legitimate business purposes.

07

RISK ALLOCATION

Ownership, disclaimers, and liability

The hackergrep software, interface, branding, and original materials belong to hackergrep or its licensors. Third-party job content, trademarks, and source materials remain the property of their respective owners. These terms do not transfer ownership of either category to you.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, uninterrupted availability, and delivery of any alert.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, hackergrep and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, income, profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from the service, third-party content, or your reliance on a listing. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid hackergrep for the affected service during the twelve months before the claim.

08

UPDATES / TERMINATION

Changes, suspension, and contact

We may update these terms by posting a revised version and changing the effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If a change materially affects a paid feature, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, providers, or third parties, or when these terms are violated. Provisions that should logically survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limits of liability, will survive.

Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact options at mattivan.com.
